Bologna eighty films to celebrate the unification of Italy 
The one hundred and fifty 
Unification of Italy in eighty films. It is the massive retrospective titled from Garibaldi to Cayman. Like cinema told Italy that the Film Library of Bologna organized to honor, throughout 2011, this important anniversary by telling the story of our country through the most famous films (many of them newly restored) and those that are still poorly understood (such as Lost Patrol, which was inspired by Mario Martone We believed her). 
Divided into several sections, the retrospective will open on January 11 with a first dedicated the Risorgimento, and the choice of direction of Luchino Visconti (20 hours at the Cinema Lumière, Bologna) with the introduction of Antonio Faeti. During the year, will screen such titles as: The Tree of Wooden Clogs Ermanno Olmi, Novecento by Bernardo Bertolucci, The Great War of Mario Monicelli, Men against Francesco Rosi, Amarcord by Federico Fellini, Roberto Rossellini's Open City, Berlinguer I love Giuseppe Bertolucci, to reach the last prestige production with The Caiman, Nanni Moretti, Matteo Garrone's Gomorra and Paolo Sorrentino's Il Divo. 
When the cinema, through different styles and genres, becomes a mirror, magnifying glass or window on history.
